I have made great progress
I woke up today contemplating two things. When will it be my time to help the world and how in the hell will I ever get all of these paintings done by next week? My show is on the 19th and all I can think about is what my work should say. How will each of these paintings and illustrations allow the viewer to see things from an open minded perspective. The subject matter of this body of work is definitely self reflective but I want to say something STRONG. Then It hit me like a pound of dicks. Each painting symbolizes something each of us has experienced at one point or another.
Taking a deep breath and approaching my latest work as if I was the audience has given me the ability to be more obvious. Im so used to being influenced by the early symbolist. Im obsessed with secret societies and and I have even created my own language to mask my true intentions with my work. I want nothing more than to be blatant and expose more of my inner feelings. Yeah, sure its a risk but isn’t that what human interaction is all about? Speaking on a level playing field, utilizing a common vernacular……..
nahhhhh fuck it. when im dead I want it to take centuries to decipher all of my secrets.
